The Azure Division

      The Azure Division is the name of a group who undertakes tasks and projects which involves high computer skills and large scale cyber projects. Initially named the Cyber Division, it was created when the Cyber Club of St. George Taiping was established. As of year 2007, the Cyber Division was left inactive and forgotten as it's last appearance was at 2006, when a powerpoint presentation was made based on it's previous project, the Reminiscence Presentation. In mid-2008, The Azure Division, founded by it's new founder, Yim Wil Shen, who named it Azure based on a special settings in it's latest project, named The Azure Project.

     It's founding members includes the founder, Yim Wil Shen, Law Kia Kuang, Lim Xian Yung and Leong Foo Mun. Most of the founding members are of the same age, except Law Kia Kuang, who's one year older than the rest. Nevertheless, all of them has exceptional skills that permits them to be accepted in to the division. The Azure Division's maiden project, is nevertheless, the Azure Project. As of now, The Azure Division accepts all members, irrespective of their club alegience, in contrast with the Cyber Division which up till the founding of Azure, consists of Cyber Club members.

     The Azure Project, was initially a project to build an official school website for SMK St. George. Requested by the principal, it was initiated by the Cyber Club members of year 2006. Even then, not much was done, until April 2008, where the domain name sgi.edu.my was registered and a private server was rented by the school. Then, the site is installed and contents started being added starting early July. On 18 July 2008, the School Website Project was renamed to The Azure Project and the Cyber Division was renamed to The Azure Division.

     The Azure Project's outline has been decided. It's main purpose is to build, and maintain the school website as long as the school still exist. The project will be carried out by students of the school, while ex-students will become advisors. In occasion where the Administrator is deemed unsuitable for the position, the founding advisors can relinquish the Administrator's rights to administrating the site. In addition, normal advisors may do the same, but founding advisors holds the most power and may overwrite the advisors' decision if necessary.
